Lincolndale Drive-In

The Lincolndale Drive-In was located near Franke Park. It opened on September 11, 1953 with George Montgomery in “Jack McCall Desperado” & Sterling Hayden in “Flat Top”. It was operated by United Film Booking Services. It was closed on September 8, 1979.

Found it! The address is (at least according to Google) 1422 Goshen Ave, Fort Wayne, IN. The drive-in sat on the north side of the road.

Today, the property is partly used for parking overflow of the Foellinger Theater and the rest has walking paths. The only remaining evidence that the drive-in existed is the foundation for the screen. http://tinyurl.com/zm79z8h

Closed September 8th, 1979, and the owners moved its screen to the new Lincolndale Drive-In in Warsaw in mid-1980. Article posted.
